Have you noticed that once boys hit the age of seven there is really only one toy for them aside from electronically driven entertainment: Lego’s. We are already budgeting and planning for Christmas and of course all the boys want are lego sets. We have already decided to get them several of their favorite books (Magic Tree House, Elephant and Piggie, more Pigeon books etc.) but I would love to add something new to the mix. If you have boys between 5-10 what is a great “other” toy for them. We are good on bikes and scooters but are open to pretty much anything else. Now don’t misunderstand my desire to buy more legos as my not absolutely loving them. I think they are fantastic! Our boys spend hours building and creating and I think it is wonderful for their growing minds. I just don’t want to miss out on anything else that they would love. Suggestions are greatly appreciated!
I wanted to share the pictures I took the other day while at Luxembourg Park that we more creatively driven then the pictures I posted before. I got a lot of weird looks as I crawled under and over different park objects to get fun angles but this is exactly what I wanted to do with this goal, push myself to take different and hopefully better pictures or what seems completely ordinary…. well if you can call this gorgeous park in Paris ordinary ha!
^^^^This is the bocce court. On weekends you will see families and older men playing with gorgeous colorful balls^^^^
^^^^They of course will need somewhere to hang their suit and trench coats^^^^
^^^^Chloe’s favorite toy in the park. I am a happy camper now that she can get on and off herself^^^^
^^^^If I could uproot and take one of these benches home I soooo would^^^^
^^^^The park is broken up into age appropriate equipment, this is the older kids section^^^^
^^^^^Huge climbing spider web in the middle of the park^^^^
^^^^Zipline seats. The boys spend forever going around and around on the zipline^^^^
^^^^My kids call it the space ship, it goes in circles pretty fast^^^^
^^^^This to me is a sneak way to get kids to exercise, and I am all for it^^^^
